Special Ministries
Food Pantry
Food Pantry helps people in our community and our Immanuel family with emergency grocery assistance. Please bring your donation to the Gym. Donations are accepted anytime. Please bring canned goods and boxed food items to the gym closest located to the right of the stage. Please bring regular-size items, no family-packs or jumbo-sized items. Examples of things that we need are: boxes of cereal (hot and cold), regular-sized canned fruit, canned meats (i.e., Vienna sausages, ham, chicken, tuna, etc.), pasta, pasta sauce, peanut butter, jelly, boxed dessert mixes, and canned frostings (for desserts). These items are distributed to both IBC attendees and community members in need. For more information, you may call 703.813.1952, or email us at wecare@immanuelbible.net.
Prepare a Meal for a Family in Need
This is a ministry where individuals provide meals to IBC families or individuals who are not connected to an Adult Bible Fellowship or ministry, but are known attendees. The purpose of this ministry is to assist people in the midst of life challenging events. On a short-term basis, meals are arranged and provided by volunteers to ease the demands of life while trying to sort through their present life situation.
Since so many people are connecting at church, the need for meals is seldom. But we do like to have a list of volunteers to call on people when a meal is needed. If you are interested in becoming part of this ministry by providing a meal to someone in need, please email: wecare@immanuelbible.net, or call 703.813.1952 for more information, or to be placed on the list of volunteers who would be willing to provide a meal.
Deaf Ministry
The mission of the Deaf Ministry is to communicate the Gospel to the unsaved and to facilitate biblical teaching to the believers in the deaf community. To fulfill the commission as the Lord instructed us when He said, "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation," (Mark 16:15).
It is our goal to provide discipleship tools for Christian growth and ministry opportunities for the deaf with whatever communication tools are best used by the individual deaf person.
We intend to build up the body of believers in ways that are consistent with the doctrinal statement and church covenant of Immanuel Bible Church, "so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work," (2 Timothy 3:17).
