Immanuel Food Pantry

Thank you for your interest in supporting this community outreach effort. Families, scout troops, home school groups, Sunday school classes, and small groups have all assembled grocery bags in the past. What a great help it has been!

You can drop off completed grocery bags in Room G5 (the little room to the right of the stage in the Gym). If you are bringing more than 5 bags, please contact Dee Dee Collins at deedeecollins@verizon.net so that she can store them appropriately.

Here is the list of items for each bag. Note that all are regular sizes, nothing large:

• Pasta
• Pasta sauce
• Macaroni and cheese
• Cereal
• Canned meat – (two cans of tuna or chicken)
• Bagged or canned beans (non perishable)
• 2 Cans of vegetables (any kind)
• 2 Cans of fruit (any kind)
• 2 Cans of soup
• 2 Boxes of rice, pasta dishes
• 2 Boxes of Jello
• 1 Jar of Peanut Butter
• 1 Jar of Jelly
• 1 Dessert item (cake mix and frosting, muffins, etc.)
• 1 Pack of microwave popcorn or other snack like crackers, nuts, etc.

Please assemble everything into one paper bag, say a prayer over it, and bring it in. Bags with handles are useful, and it’s also a good idea to “double bag” so that the paper doesn’t tear.

Creativity is definitely allowed. You can include a note or a card/ tract to the visitor who will one day receive the bag (please do not include last names or your address/ phone number).

Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God. (2 Cor 9:10-11)
