Men's Ministry

"Men on a Mission 2007":

Fourteen men from Immanuel and Gateway Bible Churches spent a week in Rwanda, East Africa this summer. While in Rwanda they worked in support of Africa New Life Ministries (ANLM). Stand by for a more complete report, but the team's principal accomplishments were: setting-up a computer network in the ANLM offices, building a computer training facility (including walls, doors, desks for up to 24 workstations), and installing computers. In addition, team members constructed a heavy-duty platform for worship activates and a pastoral office.

More importantly, they worked closely with eighteen young Rwandan men, each of them former street children who are learning to be carpenters. The team taught them carpentry techniques, modeled a Christian work ethic, and led daily devotions with them. Thanks to more than 174 donors (more than $42,000) and prayer partners who made this mission possible.
