Featured Missionary

Assist logoJason and Anastasia Turner
Philadelphia, PA – U.S.

Jason and Anastasia served for eight years on the Cru team in Philadelphia, ministering on the campuses of the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University and Temple University. Last summer Jason filled the role of intern coordinator for the Mid-Atlantic region, which gave him the opportunity to work with interns, shepherd them, run an orientation conference for stateside interns, send them to their campus assignments, and make sure they were fully equipped and resourced for the year ahead.

At the end of the summer, Jason was asked to step into the intern coordinator role fulI time – to recruit, accept, set up, resource and shepherd each intern class for the Mid-Atlantic region. The program is designed to encourage young people to join the mission field after graduation and hopefully continue on as full-time laborers for the Gospel. Although giving up ministry in Philadelphia was a difficult decision, Jason and Anastasia are broadening their scope by becoming part of their regional Leadership Development team, where there are 2.7 million students on 638 campuses in the Mid-Atlantic region and partnership locations around the world.

Prayer Requests:
1. For seniors who are considering interning with Cru.
2. For Jason as he processes and makes decisions on approximately 200 applications received for internships next school year.
3. For current interns who are now on campuses in the Mid-Atlantic region and around the world.

The program serves senior citizens, single families as well as the Hispanic community. The Mission recognizes that hunger does not always stem from homelessness or unemployment, it affects the working impoverished as well.
